“Traveling to Experience American History”
“Never Stop Learning…Never Stop Exploring”
Another Historical Journey (AHJ) was created to travel to historical sites and landmarks to honor African American sacrifices and contributions to America and the world.
AHJ was inspired through passion of the lives of African Americans from their journeys of countless voyages from the Mother land through slavery, the Underground Railroad, Jim Crow Laws, through the Civil Rights Movements to present day. In June 1998, through the vision of the Lord, Sylvia Morgan aspired “to see, stand and walk the paths where our ancestors and abolitionists had paved the way for our freedom.” After closing a book, I would go on to have a dream, and this dream would begin a new chapter. Thus, the idea and passion to guide others through those journeys and travels was realized and named “Another Historical Journey.”
Along with the support of her husband, their family, dedicated friends, and others have taken many journeys. AHJ is a faith-based organization that is committed to serving the community. AHJ plans and arranges social events, gatherings and journeys locally and to destinations nationwide with organizations such as: church groups, youth groups, civic / community groups, senior groups and school groups.
